Position: Attendant II-Donley 287- PT

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary:

The Attendant II performs janitorial services for high traffic restrooms and lobbies of state rest areas. Also maintain outdoor bins, lawn, and basic maintenance projects. Donley 287-PT- located in Hedley, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow operational and safety procedures, using effective time management.

Clean and restock restrooms:

• Inspect and restock supplies.
• Clean mirrors, sinks, countertops.
• Refill soap dispensers.
• Clean walls, stalls, paper holders.
• Replenish paper products.
• Empty trash containers.
• Clean toilets and urinals.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Maintain inventory.
• Assist with basic plumbing maintenance.

Maintain Lobby & Main Building cleanliness:

• Clean walls, windows, doors, displays.
• Disinfect water fountains.
• Empty trash.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Assist interior maintenance (painting, deep cleaning).

Maintain Grounds & Parking areas:

• Clean entrance doors/windows.
• Clear sidewalks & parking lots.
• Empty trash cans.
• Remove weeds from flowerbeds.
• Assist with planting and trimming shrubs.
• Clean picnic arbors & tables.
• Assist painting and maintenance of arbors.
• Check and clean grill area.
• Report damage or graffiti.
• Use power washer or hand tools.
• Empties trash at shift end.
• Lawn maintenance (weed eating, edging, mowing, trimming).

Greets travelers and maintains professional conduct.

Performs other duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

No supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Occasionally exposed to noise, wet and humid conditions.
• Frequently hot or cold outdoor weather, temperature changes, high vehicle traffic, public interactions, team or independent work.
• Rarely respiratory or skin sensitivity.

EQUIPMENT

• Leaf vacuum & blower, basic janitorial equipment, gardening hand tools, utility cart, weed eater, trimmer, edger, hedge trimmer, zero turn & push mower, pressure washer, basic hand tools (plunger).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Occasionally repetitive motion.
• Frequently standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, push/pull movement.
• Lifting: occasionally up to 50 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, constantly up to 10 lbs.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS

Varies; likely nights, weekends, holidays; typically scheduled.

TRAVEL

Travel not expected.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• No required education level.
• 1+ year janitorial experience.
• 1+ year grounds maintenance experience.
• Preferred:
  High School Diploma/GED, trade certificate.
• Preferred: 1+ year building maintenance experience.

WORK AUTHORIZATION / SECURITY CLEARANCE

• Drug screen.
• Background checks (WSC, Contractor).
