QA Automation Engineer; Mid-Level

10 is currently seeking a QA Automation Engineer (Mid-Level) for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for a versatile QA Automation Engineer to join a distributed quality team. The ideal candidate will be a hybrid tester, comfortable with both sophisticated automation scripting and manual exploratory testing. As the key contact in Plano, you will collaborate closely with the primary team in Charlotte to ensure high-quality releases.

• Balance your time between developing automated test suites and conducting manual functional testing for new feature sets
• Lead the execution of daily smoke tests to ensure environment stability across Lower Level Environments (LLE) before code promotion
• Design and maintain scalable automation scripts using Selenium, Java/Python, or TOSCA to improve regression coverage
• Take ownership of test reporting and defect tracking, providing clear, data‑driven status updates and participating in remote Agile ceremonies
• Identify, document, and triage bugs using JIRA, working closely with developers to drive resolutions
• Demonstrate a "whatever‑it‑takes" mindset, shifting between automated script maintenance and urgent manual validation as project priorities evolve

• 6-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Selenium Webdriver, TestNG, or similar frameworks
• Strong foundation in STLC, including writing detailed test cases and performing ad‑hoc exploratory testing
• Proficiency in testing RESTful services using Postman or SoapUI
• Solid ability to write SQL queries for backend data validation
• Expert user of JIRA for task management and qTest/ALM for test case repository management
