Job DescriptionPLEASE NOTE:
- It is a 100% Onsite position at Mclean, VA
- SQL, Python, Snowflake, Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, and Data Modeling
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst / Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and regulatory needs across the organization. The ideal candidate is hands‑on with strong expertise in IICS and SQL and has experience working across modern data platforms, cloud environments, and data transformation tools.
KEY RESPONSINILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions across analytics, reporting, and data warehousing environments.
- Perform hands‑on coding and development using SQL, Informatica IICS, Python, Snowflake, and SAS.
- Build and support data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and integration processes across multiple systems.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, availability, and reliability.
- Execute data migration, integration, transformation, and enrichment activities across complex and large datasets.
- Conduct detailed data profiling, validation, and testing to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Support source‑to‑target mapping, lineage documentation, and reconciliation activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, ensuring high‑quality and reliable data delivery.
- Produce analytical outputs, datasets, and reports to support business operations and regulatory requirements.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and other reporting tools.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and deliver actionable analytics solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, product owners, and program managers to meet project milestones.
- Document designs, transformation logic, data dictionaries, and testing outcomes clearly and thoroughly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data standards, governance practices, and engineering processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced SQL development skills
- Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift).
- Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional, relational, conceptual/logical/physical models).
- Hands‑on experience with Python for data transformation, automation, or analytics.
- Experience working with data warehousing tools, ETL/ELT pipelines, and distributed data systems.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Experience with Snowflake, Tableau, or SAS.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
- Experience in regulated industries or environments requiring strict data compliance.
Strong expertise in IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services)
