Primary Purpose

The Senior Manager, ERP Technology & Analytics plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the enterprise-wide ERP strategy, ensuring seamless integration across business functions and systems. This leader is responsible for the technical oversight of ERP platforms, including architecture, configuration, data integrity, and system performance. They will drive innovation in ERP technology, lead integration efforts with adjacent systems (e.g., CRM, HRIS, SCM), and ensure the ERP landscape supports scalable, secure, and efficient business operations.

This role requires deep technical expertise in ERP systems (such as RISE with SAP), middleware integration tools, and cloud-based infrastructure. The Senior Manager will oversee system interfaces, API management, data migration strategies, and ensure alignment with cybersecurity and compliance standards. Additionally, they will lead the development of analytics frameworks that leverage ERP data to deliver actionable insights, optimize workflows, and support strategic decision-making.

In addition to technical oversight, the Senior Manager leads a high‑performing team of ERP specialists, integration engineers, and data analysts. Candidate should have experience overseeing both full‑time, contract and offshore team members, setting priorities, allocating resources, ensuring delivery against ERP CoE department goals/objectives, meeting commitments, and coordinating overall activities schedule alignment. They are accountable for mentoring and developing talent, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture, and ensuring the team delivers high‑quality solutions that support operational excellence.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for application development, support, and maintenance for the SAP Solutions portfolio including subscription products like BTP, Concur, Ariba, etc.
  • Maintain the landscape updated according to provider policies and company standards.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop new solutions and enhancements to drive business objectives and outcomes.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize delivery of new solutions and enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver business value through standardization, business process improvement, organizational change and/or technology integration.
  • Analyze project risks, technical debt, and benefits to make appropriate recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging technologies and tools to support Business and IT roadmaps.
  • Ensure adherence to system development lifecycle.
  • Manage functional area budget for both personal and non‑personnel costs.
  • Deliver solutions within the defined project, program or product budget.
  • Vendor management and services management to support SAP landscape.
  • Drive cross‑functional teaming to deliver projects and products to the organization.
  • Provide technical expertise to delivery teams, provide thought leadership, and solutions to solve complex problems.
  • Review new architectural and development frameworks in collaboration with appropriate Sempra governance bodies.
  • Provide leadership and direction to cross‑functional area teams, prioritizing, and coordinating projects and activities.
  • Research, review, and recommend new enterprise solutions based on capability and business need.
  • Prepare and present to Change Advisory Board for new and enhanced solution deployments.
  • Ensure all projects and activities within the functional area meet compliance and architecture standards.
  • Provide oversight and ownership for functional area solutions and artifacts.
  • Advocate for re‑use through implementation of shared technology assets.
