Description/NotesPrimary
Purpose:
Responsible for the overall management of the Information Technology Department and strategic planning of technology systems district-wide. Provide expertise and direction in the development, deployment, and use of information technology in the district.
- Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Applications and/or related fields
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields, preferred
- Special Knowledge/
Skills:- Knowledge of computer network, hardware, and software applications
- Knowledge of computer applications development and implementation
- Knowledge of infrastructure and wireless networking
- Ability to manage budget and personnel, coordinate district function; implement policy and procedures Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret data
- Knowledge of TxEIS, Google applications, and Eduphoria
- Experience:
- Three or more years of technology-related management experience
- Public school experience preferred
