Job Description
The Human Resources Business Partner performs professional-level duties across one or more retail sales branch/warehouse and manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Director, the HRBP collaborates with plant leadership and HR teams to develop, implement and drive operational and strategic HR programs.
Responsibilities include employee relations, workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, employee retention, coaching and development, conflict management and ad hoc projects, as necessary.
The role requires advanced levels of communication interacting with front line, management, and corporate functions. The individual should be able to balance the needs of the business with the strategic goals for the company.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Guide and coach managers to deliver and track all counseling and disciplinary actions to ensure adherence to company policies and deliver on a higher performing workforce.
- Acts as an employee relations specialist and oversees employee relations counseling.
- Foster a culture of high performance and strong employee engagement.
- Works with site leadership to drive the overall employee experience.
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
- Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations ensuring timely completion. (i.e., three months, six months, one year and yearly thereafter)
- Ensure fair and compliant compensation practices across the business (promotions, annual increases, adjustments).
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed.
- Implement new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve department efficiency and services.
- Facilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce.
- Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
- Works with business leaders to build cohesive working relations and ensure the effective implementation of HR initiatives.
- Partner with the hiring manager and Talent Acquisition team to identify staffing requirements aligned with organizational goals.
- Be a True Business Partner – Work alongside managers, supervisors and individual contributors to enhance the employee experience and support business goals.
- Drive Change & Improvements – Execute change management initiatives, optimize HR processes, and lead readiness activities to prepare for future challenges.
- Stay Connected to the Workforce – Be a visible and approachable presence, fostering engagement and building strong relationships.
- Leverage Data for Decision-Making – Use insights to inform HR strategies, improve processes, and drive workforce success.
- Manage Core HR Responsibilities – Oversee HR administrative processes, payroll, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.
- Partner on Talent Strategy – Work with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Champion Culture & Engagement – Support initiatives that strengthen our culture and create exceptional employee experiences.
- Proficient in managing and implementing employee training, and onboarding programs.
- Skilled at creating and maintaining positive working relationships between an organization and its workforce.
- Experience in performing and managing HR Investigations and Reporting.
- Strong technical acumen in MS Office Programs, and HRIS systems.
- Highly accurate and detailed-oriented.
- Comfortable presenting to a group.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills – with the ability to pivot gracefully as business needs and priorities change.
- Ability to connect to individuals at all organizational levels with emotional intelligence.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of employees.
- Results-driven, ability to work independently confident in the ability to make decisions.
