The Banquets Team at Horseshoe Bay Resort is looking for some STRONG candidates to join us! The Banquet Housepersons are responsible for the proper set‑up of a banquet function, including breakdown and resets, with minimal supervision. They may be called on to perform additional banquet duties as needed. ¡Se habla español!

- Valid driver’s license and meet insurance requirements
- Food Handler’s Certificate
- TABC Certificate
- Tip Trained required
- Previous banquet set‑up experience (preferably resort) valued
- OSHA Hazard Communication Standard training and certification encouraged
- Set up function rooms, coffee breaks, buffets, and bars using a BEO as reference.
- Ensure rooms cleaned after each function.
- Know equipment types and set‑up styles used in meeting rooms.
- Maintain superior service and sanitation standards; all utensils detailed and presentable.
- Ensure equipment is in working order for the department.
- Perform daily inspections of banquet hallways, meeting rooms, storerooms, and public areas.
- Prepare pre‑shift briefings with staff and supervisor for each function.
- Exchange information daily with Banquet Captain, Manager, and line associates.
- Respond to guest needs as requested.
- Perform other banquet duties as needed.
- Engage in preventative maintenance across the resort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible work environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient reading, speaking, and writing in English.
- Problem‑solving abilities.
- Self‑starter with ability to work well independently and on a team.
- Neat and well‑groomed appearance.
- Maintain proper associate uniform standards and slip‑resistant, polished footwear.
- Physical strength, stamina, and agility to perform assigned duties.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to lift and move tables, chairs, and equipment.
- Follow company safety and security policies and procedures.
- Report work‑related accidents or injuries immediately to manager/supervisor.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager.
- Problem‑solving abilities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible work environment.
- Interact with co‑workers and foster a sense of teamwork.
