Invision Sally Jobe (ISJ) is a network of imaging centers built and managed through a partnership between Radiology Imaging Associates and Health One. Our imaging centers are conveniently located throughout the South Denver area and offer a variety of exams using state of the art equipment. Our services include MRI, CT, digital mammography, ultrasound, pain management, DXA, X-Ray, and image guided biopsies.

Summary of Position

The Patient Service Representative II registers patients for clinical services by obtaining pertinent information, verifying insurance benefits, and collecting payments. This position collaborates with multidisciplinary team members including radiologists, schedulers, and referring providers. The Patient Service Representative II’s primary purpose is to collect accurate demographic, financial, and basic medical information from patients and/or their designee in a timely and professional manner.

The Patient Service Representative II is responsible for scheduling patients of Invision Sally Jobe for radiology imaging services.

Job Responsibilities
  • Greets and welcomes patients and visitors in a professional manner
  • Obtains and updates patient health information for each visit
  • Verifies insurance information and works with the pre authorization department to obtain pre-certification/authorization
  • Collects payments and co-pays when applicable
  • Performs additional administrative/clerical duties, e.g. answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, creating new patient records
  • Ability to support multiple ISJ imaging centers as needs arise
  • Schedule Radiology exams at all Invision Sally Jobe clinic sites for all modalities (except pain management) including Mammography, CT/MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, and DXA
  • Use critical thinking skills, make judgment calls and engage the radiologist, nurse or technologist when necessary
  • Make outbound calls when appropriate based on need of department and patients
  • Schedules procedures/ visits in the appropriate area (ISJ location, modality room)
  • Utilizes designated tools and resources as directed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, to manage multiple priorities and tasks, to maintain attention to detail
  • Interacts with office staff and patients, in a courteous and professional manner, with a focus on keeping waits and delays at a minimum
  • Meet designated productivity standards as set by the department
Experience/Skill Requirements
  • Prior patient access experience preferred
  • Medical terminology preferred
  • Familiarity with medical systems, i.e. VSDM, RIS, Z-Pay, MRS, On Base, Royal
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Previous clerical experience in a medical or insurance background preferred
  • Education Requirements:

    High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak in English

Compensation is between $23 and $26 per hour

In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Invision Sally Jobe’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Applications will be received on an ongoing basis, and the position will remain open until filled.

Full-time employees will become eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Part-time employees may have access to some of these benefits, which may be on a pro-rated basis. PRN employees are not eligible for benefits.
