Job Description
Under the direction of the Youth and Family Services Manager, this position works with youth and their families to deliver intensive case management, skills training, and medication education primarily in community‑based settings, such as homes and schools. The role conducts psycho‑social‑emotional needs assessments, completes Person‑Centered Recovery Plans, assists families with accessing community resources, provides rehabilitative services, and initiates crisis intervention when needed.
All services are documented in an electronic health record and provided in collaboration with a multidisciplinary recovery team. Services promote recovery, wellness, community integration, stable living within the community, and improved quality of life.
The position requires a passion and aptitude for working with youth who have severe emotional needs. Knowledge of psychotherapeutic medications, case management functions, substance use treatment, crisis services, community resources, and evidence‑based practices in the behavioral health field is critical for success. The role demands innovative thinking, patience, resiliency, advocacy, service coordination, mental‑health assessment and evaluation, collaborative person‑centered recovery planning, and dual‑diagnosis treatment.
The position will work independently and on a team, prioritize needs during crisis situations, engage in regular meetings and training opportunities, and perform other duties as assigned with a positive attitude.
Marble Falls, Burnet County, Texas
Salary$21.46 – $27.50 per hour (approximately $44,636 – $57,200 per year) plus applicable differentials.
Applicable Differentials- $0.75/hr Bilingual
- $1.00/hr Master’s degree
- $1.00/hr 1 year with BTCS
- $1.00/hr 2 years with BTCS
- $1.00/hr 4 years with BTCS
- $1.00/hr 6 years with BTCS
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field; comprehensive knowledge of mental health diagnoses. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment. If the degree is not in a human services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a human services field is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and/or clinical license in psychology, education, social work, or a related human service field; one year of work or practicum/clinical experience in case management, crisis intervention, and/or psychosocial rehabilitative services. Bilingual in ASL or Spanish preferred; experience in concurrent documentation within an electronic database preferred.
