Responsibilities- Assist clients in activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, in accordance with specific assignments provided by the supervisor.
- Supervise clients during activities to enable safe functioning.
- Maintain compliance with all At Home Health policies, procedures, guidelines, and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Immediately report significant changes in the client’s environment, behaviors, or circumstances to the supervisor.
- Monitor the client environment for safety hazards and take appropriate actions to eliminate or report hazards.
- Must have a pleasant and cheerful demeanor, demonstrating helpfulness, especially in stressful situations.
- Ability to effectively carry out duties, cooperate, and support fellow workers daily.
- Personal assistance services as defined in TAC 40 Chapter 97.2, may be performed by an unlicensed person aged 18 or older who demonstrates competency.
- Completes required training and demonstrates competency at orientation.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds continuously.
- Physical requirements include bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, climbing, kneeling, walking, and standing for over 75% of the shift, with sitting about 25% of the time.
- Ability to recognize differences in sounds, such as voices and noises.
- Must exercise patience, tact, initiative, judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
- Work with minimal supervision, understanding that errors can have serious consequences.
- Recognize changes in a client’s appearance, attitude, and condition.
