Phlebotomist

Job Description:

• The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health needs or important health decisions.
• The PSR I draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.
• This role has direct patient interaction and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and performing collections in a safe, skillful, and accurate manner.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation accurately.
• Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

• Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience required.
• One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Keyboard and data entry experience required.
