The Coordinator of Clinical Education is responsible for coordinating entry‑level clinical education initiatives for rehabilitation services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Athletic Training, Audiology, and Recreational Therapy within their departments. The Coordinator will ensure that clinical activities within their departments support the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) and department‑specific mission, vision, and goals.
The Clinical Education Coordinator will coordinate initiatives designed to improve efficiency and consistency in quality as it relates to entry‑level clinical education. The Coordinator will work with the Team Lead for Clinical Education and other Clinical Education Coordinators to evaluate quality and outcomes to ensure metrics for success. Improvement ensures that daily operations support departmental and organizational quality, customer loyalty, and financial objectives.
The Clinical Education Coordinator will be accountable to the applicable Rehab Manager and Associate Director for Education and Professional Development. The Coordinator oversees the coordination of departmental Site Coordinators of Clinical Education (SCCE’s) to ensure consistency and quality of administration, management, and learning activities specific to clinical education.
- Graduation with a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited and approved college or university.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Ohio, with one year of experience required; 2–3 years’ experience preferred.
- BLS certification.
