Reports directly to the Quality Lab Manager and has no direct reports.
The Lab Technician role is part of a field based team. The job holder performs basic routine analyses, provides analytical data to produce and release products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Performs basic routine analyses, provides analytical data to produce and release products.
- Schedule non-routine analytical requests.
- Analyze samples that involve complex procedures.
- Document, communicate and archive results.
- Watch analytical systems, identify problems and conduct first‑line troubleshooting.
- Maintain and dispose of retains appropriately.
- Evaluate and apply new/ improved analytical systems.
- Evaluate health of and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Follow HESQ and operating discipline/Quality System procedures and practices.
- Ensure service request are value adding and aligned with business, unit and team goals.
- Serves as back‑up to the Analytical Technologist role, covers overtime, and or vacation time.
- Help troubleshoot plant and customer problems.
- Train peers in the use of analytical systems and procedures.
- Contribute to value creation by continuous improvement of procedures, the analytical work processes and related tools and performance metrics.
Job Holder responsibilities align with plant management, operations, HSE teams, as well as corporate QMS team leads:
- Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
- Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, Safe Start, etc.).
- Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near‑miss, accident or injury incidents.
- Understands and supports the Clear Lake Facility Acrylic Monomers HSE2Q Commitment.
Minimum of 2 years of lab analysis within a manufacturing facility experience required. High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred.

- Responsible for following all AIMS HESQ policies & practices (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001).
