Varies Shift PRN – 12 hour shifts

The Registered Respiratory Therapist works with a multidisciplinary team, applying evidence‑based respiratory therapies to improve patient outcomes. The role requires timely, high‑quality care in a learning environment.

• Perform and direct respiratory care services, including oxygen and aerosol therapy, and collaborate with physicians and the care team.
• Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergencies.
• Adhere to policies on infection control, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a professional, patient‑centered environment and participate in continuous quality improvement.

• In-depth knowledge of respiratory care modalities, equipment, and medications.
• Strong reading, writing, and protocol‑following skills.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and general computer proficiency.

• Education:
  
  Associate’s degree or 2+ years experience in respiratory care.
• Experience:
  
  Less than 1 year in a clinical respiratory role.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) – licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
