Welcome to EQUIHOPE! Our mission is serving North Texas through equine therapeutics while teaching good horsemanship in a safe environment. Join us for a ranch work day helping with client services and beautification and repair of the ranch.
More DetailsFounded in 2022 as a 501c3 non-profit, EQUIHOPE was formed to serve individuals with special needs and disabilities with safe and fun therapeutic horsemanship in a structured environment. We currently serve individuals ranging in age from 3 to 55 with diagnoses from Autism and ADHD to PTSD and eating disorders.
Clients attend weekly or bi-weekly sessions with an assigned instructor and support staff. During their session they complete physical and cognitive activities that increase strength, coordination, speech, sequencing, planning and endurance.
- Volunteers help with client lessons.
- Caring for the horses.
- Gardening and beautification.
- Ranch maintenance and repair.
