Council’s City Futures Department is looking for a Climate and Sustainability Education Officer who will be responsible for position objective.

The main responsibilities will include:

• Lead sustainability and climate education projects that drive emissions reduction and climate adaptation outcomes for Council and the community.
• Build partnerships internally and externally to accelerate climate action and strengthen our climate emergency response.

This is a part time role working 30.4 hours per week. Working days are flexible.

You are an excellent communicator and educator with a strong understanding of climate change and sustainability principles.

You have experience delivering community engagement programs and influencing positive environmental outcomes.

This position is a Band 6A currently remunerated at $ (pro-rata) per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
