Main Purpose of the Role
Primarily to carry out the normal day to day functions of a purchase ledger clerk with some additional responsibilities to support the credit controller with accounts receivable duties.
Key Objectives OfThe Role
- Register invoices daily onto the ERP system
- Processing of invoices for payment for Sheffield Forgings (& other sites as holiday cover)
- Liaising with departments re supplier invoice queries
- Dealing with day to day supplier queries by telephone and email.
- Obtaining the correct authorisation on transactions outside the purchase ordering system.
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Preparing and transmitting monthly creditor BACS payments in GBP, USD and Euro’s.
- Entering cheques, direct debits and standing orders onto the computer system.
- Processing the month end Purchase Ledger for the monthly accounts.
- Maintaining/Adding new supplier details on Tropos
- Filing of purchase invoices, delivery notes, statements etc and other relevant documentation.
- Assist with daily/weekly/monthly KPI reporting.
- Review and management of GRNI lists
- Support the credit controller with AR responsibilities
- Support with various finance tasks across the team
- Experience with in a purchase ledger role (preferred)
- Experience with in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
- Someone who is keen to develop and learn within a busy finance team
