About the role:The Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Month-End Close: Leading the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- General Ledger Management: Maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, and performing complex account reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements in compliance with SFRS.
- Audit and Compliance: Serving as a key contact for external auditors, preparing audit schedules, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Leading the annual budgeting process and developing rolling forecasts to provide a forward-looking view of the business.
- Variance Analysis: Analyzing financial results against budget and forecast, identifying key trends, and providing detailed explanations for variances.
- Financial Modeling: Developing and maintaining complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, scenario planning, and long-term financial planning.
- Business Partnering: Collaborating with department heads to provide financial guidance, analyze performance, and support their operational and strategic goals.
- Mentorship and Training

Mentoring, training, and developing junior accounting staff, providing guidance on complex accounting issues and fostering their professional growth. - Performance Management: Setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews for the accounting team.
- Task Delegation and Review: Delegating tasks effectively, reviewing the work of the team to ensure accuracy and efficiency, and managing workload distribution.
- Project Management: Assist and manage finance-related projects, with a particular focus on system implementations and process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA or equivalent is an advantage.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), corporate tax, and GST regulations.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax rules across SEA countries.
- Significant experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Proven experience in project management, including leading at least one full-cycle financial system implementation (e.g., ERP).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial modeling.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle) and business intelligence tools.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to senior management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Fast learner with strong initiative; able to work independently and collaborate effectively.
