As an Associate in Cost Basis Operations you will be part of a team that oversees the transmission and upkeep of cost basis data for assets transferred in and out of Schwab. This is a fast-paced working environment where effective communication and teamwork are a must. Flexibility and adaptability are necessary, because the associate will rotate through different functions as business needs arise.

Duties for this role will include, but are not limited to:

• Daily review/sorting of incoming emails from contra firms
• Daily communication with contra firms
• Research across multiple systems to verify transaction information
• Research escalations

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of 'challenging the status quo,' this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

• 2 years’ experience in Operations
• BA or BS
• Series 7/63

• Intermediate computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word
• This role requires strict adherence to the established policies and procedures
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining the highest level of positivity and professionalism
• Good decision making and sound judgment skills are a must
• Attention to detail is key in being successful in this position
• Requires accurate data entry skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Identify and communicate issues effectively and timely to peers and management team
• Ability to multi-task, understand the importance of follow-through
• Outstanding time management and organization skills
