Senior Engineer, Electrical; Nuclear

Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer with experience supporting modification work at nuclear power facilities. The successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers and designers at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant.

• Serve as the Responsible Electrical Engineer developing nuclear plant modification packages.
• Perform electrical calculations in support of the modification package development.
• Provide field installation support to the client’s implementation team.
• Plan and manage electrical work activities to ensure successful task execution while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Monitor day-to-day activities and proactively identify potential discipline problems or opportunities.
• Clearly understand the electrical scope of work and requirements.

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred.

Minimum Ten (10) years of related electrical design experience with nuclear plant engineering and design.

• Must be a citizen of the U.S. and able to obtain unescorted access to a U.S. nuclear power plant.
• Current or recent design qualifications to the Standard Design Procedure at a commercial nuclear power plant.
• Ability to prepare documents and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Demonstrated knowledge of switchyard design, protective relaying, transformers, circuit breakers and switches.
• Demonstrated knowledge of IEEE, ISA, and NEMA standards.
