Senior / Lead / Principal Mechanical Engineer / remote with travel – 80/20 split

Incredible opportunity to join a rapidly scaling company as a senior/lead/principal Mechanical Engineer to own the cooling systems design for next-generation AI/HPC data centres. You will define the Mechanical Standard, lead high-efficiency air and liquid-cooled system design, and ensure integration with electrical, structural, and architectural systems.

• Owning the Mechanical Basis of Design (BOD) for AI/HPC campuses
• Designing and specifying air‑cooled chillers, CDUs, liquid‑to‑chip cooling, and hydronic loops
• Performing CFD airflow modelling, hydraulic calculations, and equipment de‑rating for extreme heat conditions
• Reviewing EPCM mechanical submittals, P&IDs, control sequences, and CFD models
• Conducting field validation: equipment placement, piping/duct routing, clearance, and QC
• Qualifying long‑lead mechanical equipment (chillers, pumps, CDUs, buffer tanks)
• Leading Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and handoff to Operations with SOPs

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
• 5+ years in mechanical systems for data centres, industrial, or mission‑critical facilities
• Expertise in cooling systems, HVAC, hydronics, air‑and‑liquid‑cooled chillers, DX/refrigerant cycles
• Experience with CFD (6
  
  Sigma, Tile Flow) and hydraulic modelling
• Understanding of BMS control strategies, equipment sequencing, and thermal performance validation
• Ability to review and manage EPCM engineering packages
