Technology Automation Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, and commissioning automation systems within constraints such as development cost, product quality, safety, and time.
In this role, the engineer works in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with mechanical, electrical, and IT domains to solve cross‑domain problems that automate equipment, processes, and business workflows using sensors, actuators, software, and IT infrastructure.

- Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and perform root‑cause analysis to ensure manufacturing continuity.
- Create intuitive human‑machine interfaces using Factory Talk ME and Ignition.
- Develop database applications using Ignition and SQL for tracking downtime and performance.
- Program and debug ladder logic and structured text on Allen‑Bradley control
Logix PLCs. - Maintain and configure industrial Ethernet networks for automation devices such as robots, PLCs, VFDs, and hydraulic presses.
- Program and debug Fanuc robot programs.
- Manage and support automation projects involving cross‑functional teams (manufacturing, sustaining, IT).
- Assist maintenance & production personnel in operating and maintaining equipment.
- Walk and stand for prolonged periods in a loud manufacturing environment not always climate controlled.
- Respond promptly to and address issues in a timely manner.
- Possess a high degree of initiative.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies.
- Keep abreast of key developments and existing standards.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication.
- Work independently or as part of a team.
- Effectively analyze and solve problems with attention to root cause.
- BS or higher in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, software, engineering or similar.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience (Senior‑level candidate).
- Experience with PLC systems (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff) and PLC programming.
- Experience with robotic systems (Fanuc, Kuka, ABB).
- Proficiency in reading detailed electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics.
- Experience with HMI (Factory Talk ME, Siemens WinCC, Ignition).
- Proficiency in at least one general‑purpose language (Python, C, C++, JavaScript, C#, Java, etc.).
- General understanding of web technologies (API, database, server).
- Experience working independently in a large software setting.
- Excellent communication, technical mentoring, and writing skills.
- Expertise in industry standards for automation.
