POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Waco, TX facility manufactures aluminum ends/lids for beverage cans commonly used for soft drinks, beers, energy drinks, teas and non-carbonated beverages. Using state of the art end‑making technology, this high‑speed environment provides rewarding manufacturing opportunities. We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance, repair, and engineering support activities within our high‑volume Aluminum End Plant.

This leadership position is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, increasing asset lifespan, and leading the maintenance team in the execution of world‑class preventative and predictive maintenance programs. The manager's ultimate goal is to achieve and sustain industry‑leading Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and minimize unscheduled downtime.

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs to increase Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and reduce repair costs.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule work orders, track equipment history, prioritize critical tasks, and report on key metrics (e.g., wrench time, backlog).
• Lead the technical troubleshooting of complex equipment failures, including high‑speed mechanical stamping presses (Shell/Conversion), compound lining turrets, and industrial curing ovens.

• Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of multi‑skilled maintenance technicians (mechanical, electrical, PLC/controls).
• Establish and manage a continuous technical training program to elevate the skill level of the team in areas like hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC programming, and precision alignment.
• Oversee the scheduling of technicians across all shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage for critical production lines.

• Champion the plant's Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program, ensuring 100% compliance and conducting regular safety audits of maintenance procedures.
• Ensure all equipment and maintenance practices comply with OSHA, environmental regulations, and plant safety standards.

• Manage the annual maintenance operating and capital expenditure budgets, seeking opportunities for cost reduction through efficiency and smart parts sourcing.
• Optimize the spare parts inventory, establishing minimum/maximum levels for critical components to ensure immediate availability during failures without excess capital tie‑up.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or capital projects.
