Technical & Mechanical Engineering Responsibilities
  • Understand supplier fabrication processes (machining, welding, forming, heat treatment, etc.) and how component variation impacts downstream assembly and customer applications.
  • Develop and maintain material specifications, mechanical drawings, fabrication standards, inspection criteria, and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with fabrication suppliers on process improvements, capability studies, control plans, and advanced quality planning activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce variation, improve yield, enhance reliability, and strengthen mechanical component performance.
  • Understand continuous improvement methodologies, structured problem‑solving techniques, SPC, and FMEA and apply them independently in role.
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, and summarize complex data sets to drive clear decision making and action.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Business Units, Procurement, R&D, and Operations to ensure continuity of supply for materials and fabricated components.
  • Monitor key supplier metrics and provide visibility and escalation to cross‑functional teams when needed.
  • Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and risk mitigation strategies for critical suppliers and high‑impact mechanical components.
  • Train suppliers on key requirements and expectations, including Change Control and quality system standards.
What we seek:
