LTE Network Field Technician ; On-Site

Overview

At LCRA, we are looking for a self motivated LTE Network Field Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance team! As a field technician, you will focus on Ericsson LTE, Nokia Routers/Switches, and Aviat/Nokia Microwave Radio Transport Systems. This role involves traveling to different work sites across Central Texas, with travel accommodations offered when needed. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a skilled team and receive formal curriculum and on-the-job training.

• Install/maintain Ericsson LTE networks
• Install/maintain Aviat/Nokia PTP Microwave Radios
• Install/maintain Nokia Routers/Switches
• Install/maintain Trunked radio Systems

• One or more years of experience in one or more of the following networking technologies: WAN – MPLS, LAN – Route/Switch, DWDM, RF/Microwave Radio, 700/900MHz Trunked Radio (LMR) and/or LTE, fiber splicing or other relevant experience
• A bachelor’s, associate degree in related field, or industry professional-level certification may be substituted for certain years of experience.
• Driver’s License

• Networking Certification in Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, or equivalent such as CCNA, NRS1, JNCIA is highly preferred.
• Degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other IT/Telecom related field.
• Ciena DWDM Optical certification (OC-A), Aviat Network Associate (ANA)
• Experience in Microwave RF, DWDM, Routing/Switching L1-L3, and LMR Land Mobile Radio/ trunked radio.
