You will be the Field Engineer - Ascendant for the Red River Army Depot (RRAD) Logistics Support Team. Our team drives the seamless post production sell off of HIMARS systems, ensuring logistics, maintenance and cost effectiveness while delivering top tier support to the customer. What You Will Be Doing
As the Field Engineer - Ascendant you will be the technical liaison that balances schedule, cost and performance. You'll partner daily with RRAD personnel to resolve logistics discrepancies, oversee care of supplies inspections, and champion risk aware program execution. Your responsibilities will include:

• Review and close out discrepancies identified by RRAD during Prescribed Maintenance and COSIS inspections.

• Provide day to day logistics management support, coordinating parts, transport and documentation.

• Identify, evaluate and communicate program risks, recommending mitigation actions.

• Lead logistics, maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customer stakeholders.

• Support test and support equipment activities, ensuring readiness and compliance.

• Draft, review and update system maintenance procedures and associated training material. Why Join Us

Further Information About This Opportunity:
This position is in New Boston, TX. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
Must be comfortable presenting and instructing large groups and high level dignitaries.
The FSR must possess good computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and internet navigation capabilities.
Must be able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with the customer
Must be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to start
Desired

Skills:

Prior military experience E-4 or above
Prior military instructor experience
The ideal candidate would be a prior service 94P or 91B with demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities.
Technical knowledge to ensure the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS)/ M270A1/A2 Fire Control System (FCS) and Launcher Module (LM)

Experience with proper utilization of system, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, in accordance with established procedures. The ideal candidate would be a prior service M270A1/HIMARS vehicle operator, maintainer or trainer with demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities Prior military experience Must be able to obtain if needed a Secret Clearance and related background check
