Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of the New Shepard program. New Shepard is a reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take astronauts and research payloads past the Kármán line – the internationally recognized boundary of space. Through operational reusability, New Shepard supports our mission of lowering the cost of access to space.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will operate and maintain the New Shepard launch and landing facility, directly support ground operations for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of New Shepard launch operations and maintenance. The Launch Facility Operations Engineer will work alongside a multi-discipline engineering team and technicians to facilitate operation and maintenance of ground equipment.

Your critically important work will ensure the launch facility is ready for flight or ground test operations by performing pre-flight verification testing, post-launch inspections, post-flight ground system data review, and rapidly returning the facility to a launch ready state.

You will be expected to draft and review work orders for routine and corrective maintenance procedures, always understand configuration of the facility and equipment, and be well-versed in the contents of system safety products involving our systems. In addition to maintaining launch readiness, our team will also work to implement and commission engineering design changes which improve safety or reliability.
