Direct Hire | Up to $56,000 annually + Housing Allowance
Locations: Wink, Odessa, Pecos, Midland, TX or surrounding areas
We are seeking a dependable Water Transfer Operator to support oilfield water transfer operations across multiple sites. This role is hands‑on and field‑based, responsible for installing, monitoring, and maintaining water transfer systems while ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate has oil and gas experience, works well independently, and is comfortable with rotating schedules and on‑call work with Water Transfer experience!
Key Responsibilities- Install, deploy, inspect, maintain, and repair layflat hose and water transfer systems
- Monitor daily flow meter readings and pond levels
- Inspect water transfer lines and wells across multiple locations
- Perform pressure and flow rate testing on transfer lines
- Conduct spill containment and remediation as required
- Maintain trailers and ensure compliance with local weight regulations
- Operate skid steers, trailers, and hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with third‑party contractors to ensure timely project completion
- Support reuse water operations and participate in cross‑training initiatives
- Accurately submit timesheets and adhere to assigned schedules
Follow all safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures - Remain available for rotating schedule of 12 days on / 2 days off
, including on‑call coverage - Perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- Oil and gas industry experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Prior water transfer experience or knowledge of oilfield facility processes preferred
- Understanding of tank gauging methods
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
- Ability to work on call and in varying field conditions
