Salary

The full pay range for this role is $25.00 - $47.00 per hour. The target range for this position is $27.00 to $38 per hour. Salary decisions are based on factors such as internal equity, experience, credentials, and location.

Scope & Responsibilities
  • Under direction from the site manager and supervision of an experienced technician, assist with maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of wind turbines and/or photovoltaic power and energy storage systems.
  • Learn and apply EDF core values: safety, teamwork, respect, passion, transparency, good sense, and accountability.
  • Lead or assist with field tasks as assigned and work in a team to support daily activities.
  • Complete safety and technical training required for the position.
Responsibilities
  • 60-70% - In the field: assist with maintaining company property and equipment; support routine maintenance; assist with installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment; test electrical components and mechanical/hydraulic systems; collect data for testing and analysis; work safely and seek guidance as needed; participate in safety and technical training; contribute to a team environment and adhere to EDFNA core values.
  • 10-15% - Administrative duties: document completed jobs, process supply orders, complete daily work orders and time tracking, and other project paperwork.
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned.
Supervision

May oversee and train lower-level technicians as outlined in qualification cards; may supervise site crew and contractors in certain situations.

Working Conditions

100% of time in the renewable asset field with limited office time. Requires PPE, climbing and working at heights, and exposure to weather. Typical work hours are eight hours per day, forty hours per week, with overtime and night shifts as required.

Duties &

Physical Requirements
  • Exposed to extreme weather, high voltage, moving parts, confined spaces, and moderate noise.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, stand, crouch, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work at heights (>300 feet as applicable).
  • Operate company vehicles and use hand tools and diagnostic equipment as needed.
Qualifications Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience within the renewable energy sector or an equivalent field.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Ability to complete safety and technical training for entry level technician.
  • Basic computer knowledge; valid driver’s license; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; good verbal and written communication skills;
    English proficiency.
  • Knowledge of electronics and mechanical components and measurement devices is a plus.
