DTE Biomass Energy (DTEBE) develops, owns and operates renewable energy projects throughout the United States. Our company converts biogas generated at landfills and at dairy farms into clean, renewable electricity or renewable natural gas (RNG). As a leader in this industry, with more than 20 operating facilities stretching from North Carolina to California, we have the proven capabilities to help provide communities with safe, environmentally sound renewable energy.

Fort Bend Power Producers, LLC is a landfill gas to renewable natural gas (RNG) processing facility that utilizes landfill gas in Needville, TX. The facility has an 8.0 MMCFD LFG processing plant consisting (2) blowers, (2) Ingersoll Rand reciprocating gas compressors, (1) Worthington reciprocating gas compressor and (2) new Vilter Screw Compressors installed in 2018. The plant has gas treatment equipment to remove H2S, Oxygen, water and CO2.

The pay range for this position is $28.03 - $34.19.

Location:

Needville, TX

This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of a landfill gas collection system. Work is performed under the direction of a GCCS Manager, with work results reviewed through the achievement of set goals and adherence to policies and procedures.

• Conduct day-to-day maintenance, and repair of a landfill gas (LFG) collection system
• Perform inspections and maintenance on wells, pumps, well head assemblies, air and force main, all piping repairs under 6" in diameter, etc.
• Perform well pump repairs and rebuilds as needed
• Perform well pump installation per PM schedule
• Perform well extensions as needed
• Perform quarterly well sounding
• Adhere to company and project specific health and safety requirements; participate in monthly safety audits and inspections
• Maintain administrative records including logbook, filing system for drawings, instruction books and manuals, spare parts inventory, and records
• Support and assist the work of contractors on-site
• Routinely operate a motor vehicle and/or off-road vehicle on undeveloped terrain
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
• Complete other activities as directed by the GCCS Manager

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possesses a valid driver's license and good driving record
• At least one year of mechanical or construction experience
• Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions and recommend sound alternatives
• Ability to work overtime including call outs outside of normal business hours, weekends, and holidays
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications

Preferred:

• Previous military experience
• A technical degree or certificate in an electrical or mechanical field is preferable, or equivalent work experience with electrical and mechanical systems
• Familiar with gas compression and/or gas transportation
