Location: Ozona
Measurement Technician – Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain gas measurement equipment at well sites, booster stations, and pipeline facilities in accordance with company procedures, TRRC, and DOT regulations.
- Utilize programming software such as Total Flow, Roclink, Free Wave, and MDS configuration software.
- Maintain accurate measurement of gas entering and leaving assigned areas.
- Manage measurement test and sample scheduling for assigned areas.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot field instrumentation devices for process equipment, including pressure, flow and temperature devices, EFM (Total Flow 6412 & 6413 meters), and Barton dry‑flow chart meters.
- Assist with operations of natural gas compressors.
- Work within an assigned schedule and maintain zero out‑of‑compliance work orders.
- Track lease costs in daily activities, achieve 0% tool and equipment loss, and identify surface equipment issues for preventive maintenance.
- Supervise end‑of‑month meter close‑out and subsequent proving of meters.
- Complete mandated safety and regulatory training.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the foreman.
- Integrity, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.
- Strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure production environment.
- Basic computer skills and data entry into electronic databases.
- Good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility.
- Ability to work in changing and extreme climate conditions.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus (may be required in some locations).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug and background check.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state‑certified program.
- Certifications from trade schools or professional organizations are preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime and participate in an on‑call rotation.
- Preferred knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities.
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to perform vigorous outdoor activities, including manual dexterity and physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, using arms above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, and exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operating forklifts and light industrial equipment.
