Position DescriptionOrigis Services, LLC is a rapidly expanding Operations and Maintenance provider. We are looking for a Lead Technician who provides proactive, visible operational leadership, combines technical expertise with strong leadership attributes, and builds a high‑performing team while maintaining a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities- Role Modeling Technical Capability: Consistently demonstrates the highest technical standards and serves as a role model for safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Leadership Attributes: Demonstrates high standards in personal leadership, communication, organizational skills, and interpersonal behavior.
- Process Implementation: Ensures company methods, processes, and operational procedures are fully implemented and owned by the team. Contributes to process development and improvement as necessary.
- Team Development: Builds organizational capability by implementing site‑wide training and development programs using the company structure. Supports talent rotation and succession planning as needed.
- Manage the Site Safety and Accident Prevention Programs, conduct regular safety inspections and briefings.
- Act as the on‑site technical & safety expert.
- Operate and maintain the plant in compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Apply technical skills to troubleshoot electrical components using equipment such as digital multi‑meters, meggers, amp clamps, and IV curve tracers.
- Perform daily mechanical and electrical inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and optimally.
- Manage and support contractors and OEM vendors.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including work orders, time entries, and emergency response protocols.
- Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory usage.
- Maintain inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels of equipment and materials.
- Ensure high‑quality control of tools, vehicles, and materials.
- Pursue continuing education to meet safety and plant requirements.
- Maintain site vegetation through routine mowing and spraying.
- May be required to work outside of normal business hours as necessary; maintain on‑call rotation schedule.
- OSHA 30‑Hour Training for General Industry
- NFPA 70E – Workplace Electrical Safety
- First Aid, CPR, AED
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
- Inverter Specialist or Solar Technician with 3+ years’ experience; knowledgeable of renewable energy peculiarities and DC array technology.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic electrical calculations and read/interpret electrical schematics.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow independently.
- Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Supervisor
Hourly Rate$30-$50 per hour
TravelRegional travel may occasionally be required to support various site demands.
LocationsWe currently have sites in Texas, Tennessee, New Mexico, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Illinois, Missouri and Indiana.
