Elgin ISD is a fast growth District of Innovation located in Elgin, TX, just 19 miles East of Austin on Hwy 290. We are a 5A district with 5 elementaries, 1 intermediate school, 1 middle school, 1 high school and 1 alternative high school.

We offer students a progressive, comprehensive academic and extracurricular experience including a well-developed CTE program and Early College High School (in partnership with Austin Community College). All classrooms and facilities in Elgin ISD include outstanding technology providing a 21st Century Learning environment and we are in our 5th year of our 1:1 Initiative equipping students in middle and high schools with personal devices and Google Classroom.

Primary

Purpose:

Direct and manage overall campus operations. Responsible for leadership of the campus instructional program ensuring high standards of instruction and student achievement, compliance with district policies, application of instructional programs, and effective operation of all campus activities.

• Education/Certification:
  • Master’s degree in educational administration from accredited college or university
  • Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate
  • Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser

  • Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
  • Ability to manage budget and personnel
  • Ability to implement policy and procedures
  • Ability to interpret data
  • Excellent organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Experience:
  • Three years experience as a classroom teacher
  • Three years experience in instructional leadership roles
  • Three years experience as a campus principal required

$84,452-$121,529 Annually (based on relevant experience)
