High School Composite Social Studies Teacher

Position: High School Composite Social Studies Teacher (2026-2027 School Year)
Location: Valley Mills

Valley Mills ISD is seeking a qualified and motivated Composite Social Studies Teacher for Valley Mills High School. This position includes teaching high school social studies courses and helping students develop critical thinking skills, historical understanding, and civic awareness.

The teacher will plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, assess student progress, and create a classroom environment that supports student learning and participation. The position requires strong classroom management, organization, and a commitment to student success.

Qualifications

Valid Texas teaching certificate with Composite Social Studies certification.
Strong knowledge of secondary social studies curriculum and instructional strategies.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
