Elgin ISD is a fast growth District of Innovation located in Elgin, TX, just 19 miles East of Austin on Hwy 290. We are a 5A district with 5 elementaries, 1 intermediate school, 1 middle school, 1 high school and 1 alternative high school. We offer students a progressive, comprehensive academic and extracurricular experience including a well-developed CTE program and Early College High School (in partnership with Austin Community College).

Major

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Provides training, consultation, and support to administrators, teachers, and school-based leadership teams to facilitate implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) at the district and school levels. Assistance activities include observation and feedback, modeling, interpreting data and other supportive assistance necessary to implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports.
  • Works collaboratively with Instructional Directors and the Curriculum and Instruction Department.
  • Works collaboratively with members of Student Support Services.
  • Monitors the fidelity of implementation of MTSS at the school level including academic, attendance, wellness, and behavior support systems.
  • Monitors process to ensure compliance and adherence to district procedures, state guidelines, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinates MTSS staff development activities for school-based and district personnel.
  • Attends all professional development and district-level MTSS meetings.
  • Encourages and models skillful use of data to inform decision making.
  • Communicates regularly with members of the District Leadership Team.
  • Facilitates continuous improvement of MTSS systems and processes through collaboration with intervention providers and campus and district leadership.
  • Updates, maintains, and provides professional development on the District MTSS Handbook.
  • Maintains cooperative working relationships with parents, staff, and other district personnel.
  • Maintains effective and timely written and oral communication with parents, staff and other school personnel.
  • Serves, as requested on district committees.
  • Develops and maintains a positive rapport with families and staff.
  • Maintains professional competence through professional reading and attending appropriate workshops, courses, and conferences in keeping with the needs of students and in accordance with district guidelines.
  • Maintains regular attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Supervise specialists.
Qualifications:

Education/Certification: Master’s Degree in Education, School Psychology, or related field

Special Knowledge and

Skills:

Knowledge of tests/measures;
Skilled in organization;
Skilled communicator

Experience: Five years teaching experience or related experience in the field of education;
Experience implementing MTSS;
Advanced training in MTSS or equivalent experience

Salary Range:

$73,771-$106,157 Annually (based on relevant experience)
