Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Counselor to join our team at Eustace Middle School. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our students' educational, social, and emotional development.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide individual and group counseling to students to support their academic, career, and personal development.

2. Develop and implement an all-encompassing educational and counseling plan with modern methods of teaching and mentoring.

3. Foster equal opportunity practices and encourage students' association in extracurricular activities.

4. Monitor and evaluate students' educational progress and mental health.

5. Communicate with parents, teachers, and administration about students' progress and behavior.

6. Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to create strategies to promote student achievement.

7. Assist students in setting realistic academic and career goals and developing a plan to achieve them.

8. Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal regulations as mandated by the local, state, and national boards of school counseling.

Skills:

1. Proven experience as a school counselor in a diverse educational setting.

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Strong moral character with a clear understanding of ethics related to school counseling.

4. Ability to respond effectively to the needs of a diverse student body.

5. Understanding of the school's educational mission and standards.

6.

Experience with Skyward a plus.

Certifications:

The ideal candidate must hold a valid certification in School Counseling or a related field.
