Director of Instructional Services; SY

Position: Director of Instructional Services (SY 2026-27)
Location: Groesbeck

Primary

Purpose:

Direct and manage the district's instructional services, including, but not limited to, curriculum oversight, staff development, Career and Technology Education, District of Innovation, and Instructional Coaching.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Master's degree, Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate, and Advanced Education Leadership (AEL) certification with Instructional Leadership Development (ILD), and T-TESS certification

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

3+ years of experience in school or district-level administration.

Ability to create, implement, and evaluate instructional programs, assessments, and curriculum alignment.

Ability to interpret and use data to drive instruction, set goals, improve school performance and accountability.

Experience in planning and delivering professional development for teachers and staff.

Experienced as an instructional leader and district-testing coordinator.

Experience and working knowledge with Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs.

Ability to manage budget.

Ability to implement policy and procedures.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

Supervisory experience in transportation and fleet operations preferred.

Experience as a bus driver also preferred.
