Program Specialist

The Program Specialist is a heart-centered, high-energy role dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Operating within the Individualized Skills and Socialization (Day Program), you will serve as both a mentor and an instructor, facilitating growth through structured activities and community engagement. Your primary goal is to foster independence and a high quality of life by helping "Ranchers" discover personal interests, build vocational skills, and participate in meaningful social experiences.

Down Home Ranch is looking for a dedicated Program Specialist to join our Individualized Skills and Socialization (Day Program) team.

In this role, you’ll do more than just provide support—you’ll be a mentor, an instructor, and a bridge to the community for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). • Role: Program Specialist (Full-Time, Non-Exempt)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexibility required)

As a Program Specialist, your day will be dynamic and heart-led. You will report to the Day Program Supervisor and focus on three key areas:

1. Program Delivery & Innovation

• Lead classes and activities focused on education, vocational skills, and volunteerism.
• Identify and spark new interests for our Ranchers based on their unique strengths.
• Develop and adapt curriculum to ensure everyone can participate and succeed.

2. Individualized Support

• Participate in person-centered planning to help individuals reach their personal goals.
• Monitor progress and maintain high-quality documentation.
• Provide safe transportation to community outings and volunteer sites.

3. Collaboration & Excellence
