We are a small rural district located approximately ten minutes south of Kilgore. Our district is built on strong relationships, high expectations, and a commitment to doing what is best for students.

This position follows a four-day instructional week. Class sizes are small, allowing teachers to truly know their students and tailor instruction to meet individual needs. The district pays $1,500 above the state base salary and offers a retention bonus.
A STAAR performance bonus of up to $4,500 is available based on results. In addition, a competitive mathematics stipend is available and may be negotiated for the right candidate.

Leverett's Chapel ISD has completed its application for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). Our local plan is eligible for payouts beginning August 2028. Based on this year's average campus allotment, designated teachers would have received:

Recognized: $7,463

Exemplary: $14,926

Master: $26,876

We are focused on instructional growth and provide meaningful feedback, coaching, and administrative support at both the campus and district levels.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a valid Texas teaching certificate in Grades 7-12 or Core Subjects Grades 4-8 with appropriate mathematics certification. A minimum of three years of classroom experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate strong content knowledge, effective classroom management, and a clear commitment to student achievement.
