Location: Hughes Springs
High School Principal, School Year
Salary negotiable depending on experience (12-month contract)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Texas Principal Certificate
ILD or AEL Training and T-TESS Training
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years' experience as a secondary campus principal, district level administrator or secondary campus assistant principal
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/
SKILLS:
Working Knowledge of Curriculum and Instruction
Ability to Evaluate Instrutional Programs and Teaching Effectiveness to Improve Campus Performance
Ability to Manage Campus Budget and Personnel
Ability to Coordinate Campus Functions & Organize Work Reponsibilities
Ability to Interpret Policy, Procedures, and Data
Strong Organizational, Communication, Public Relations, and Inter-personal Skills
Knowledge of UIL Rules & Regulations
Knowledge of Human Resources/Supervisory Practices
Knowledge of Special and Federal Programs
Ability to Work Occasional Prolonged and Irregular Hours
TIMELINE:
Committee Interviews will be conducted in early April. Anticipated hire date is the April 20, 2026, board meeting, Anticipated start date is Summer 2026.
