Candidates will be contacted by email to schedule an interview after the above application requirements are met and one of the following is submitted: substitute training certificate, a valid Georgia teaching certificate, or a valid Georgia paraprofessional certificate.

• Applicants being considered for a substitute position will receive an email to sign up for an interview/background check appointment time.
• Applicants will be responsible for the fingerprint fee. The cost is $42.00 - exact cash only is accepted.
• A valid driver's license and social security card is required for this appointment.

As substitute teacher provides instruction to students and ensures continuity of appropriate learning during the absence of permanent teachers or paraprofessionals. Substitute teachers perform related duties in lieu of the absent teacher, or in a class that does not have an assigned teacher. This position is on-call and is assigned based on operational needs.

• Monitors students in the classroom, at lunch, and throughout the school by maintaining order and discipline

  The minimum requirements to be considered for Substitute Teaching positions are as follows: HS Diploma/GED, pass a Criminal Background Check, valid Georgia Teacher or Paraprofessional Certification, or Substitute Teacher Training Certificate
• Must relate well to students and inspire the love of learning - excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to comprehend and follow directives
