Job Title: Reading Interventionist (Grades 4–8) – Hill Center Trained
Position SummaryFalls Lake Academy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Reading Interventionist to support students in grades 4–8. The ideal candidate is Hill Center–trained
, student-centered, and has a strong desire to work directly with students to improve literacy skills, confidence, and academic success.
- Provide targeted, small-group and one-on-one reading intervention using the Hill Center model.
- Assess student reading needs and monitor progress regularly.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff to align interventions with classroom instruction.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress effectively.
- Foster positive, supportive relationships with students and families.
- Support students’ academic growth while building confidence and motivation.
- Hill Center training highly preferred.
- Experience working with upper elementary and/or middle school students preferred.
- Strong understanding of literacy development and intervention strategies.
- Strong desire to work with students and support diverse learning needs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Must hold a current North Carolina teaching license or be able to obtain licensure within one year of employment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Passion for innovative teaching practices and student-centered learning.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Preferred:
- Valid teaching certification/license.
- Demonstrated experience with project-based learning pedagogy and instructional design.
