Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs and will be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Assess and evaluate students' progress and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
• Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters learning and encourages student participation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to education.
• Utilize various teaching techniques and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Provide support and guidance to students in social, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and IEP documentation.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in special education.
• Advocate for students' needs and rights within the school and community.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid teaching certification
• Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a classroom setting.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of educators, parents, and specialists.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
• Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive teaching methods is a plus.
