Location: Prairie View
* Teach five courses (15 credit semester hours) each semester, advise department of Social Work students (BSW/MSW), work with Director of Field Education to assist students with internship placements, participate in Department of Social Work curriculum and program development, and serve on the Department of Social Work committees.
* Assist the MSW Field Director with students’ internship placements and supervision.
* Engage in student recruitment, committee assignments at all levels of the University, College, Department of Social Work, and provide services to the community and the profession.
* An MSW (Master of Social Work) from a CSWE (Council on Social Work Education) accredited program).
* Earned doctorate in Social Work or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years post-MSW practice experience, at least three years of which must be direct clinical practice.
* LMSW Clinical licensure, or Licensure eligible
* Online teaching experience.
* Student advisement.
* Demonstrated commitment and respect in working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
* A record of publication commensurate with appointment at the rank of assistant/associate professor and evidence of ongoing research projects.
* A record of extramural funding.
* Evidence of effective teaching at the graduate levels.
* Strong collegial, communication, and collaborative teamwork skills.
* Evidence of a relational approach to working with students and colleagues;.
* Knowledge of relevant national accrediting bodies and professional standards, including CSWE accreditation processes.
