  • Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients in an inpatient setting.
  • Manage and oversee pediatric patients in a 3-bed pediatric unit and a 14-bed nursery.

• Call Coverage:

  • 24-hour call shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m., ensuring continuous care for pediatric patients.
  • Be available for admissions and other inpatient needs during on-call hours.
  • Participate in both patient rounding and emergency care as needed.

• Certification and Licensure:

  • Board Certification:
    Required for the Pediatric Hospitalist role.
  • Licensure:
    Must be licensed in Texas or eligible for licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
  • Certifications: BLS and PALS certifications are required; ABLS, ACLS, and ATLS are not necessary.
  • Credentialing Timeframe:
    Estimated at 30 days.
