- Minimum 5 shifts per month accepted
- Patient Demographics:
Adults; occasional pediatrics - Patient Volume/Census:
Approximately 60 patients per day - Case Mix:
General Emergency Medicine - EMS Percentage: 1015%
- No. of Beds in Department: 16 ED beds
- EMR System:
Epic - Office Equipment Available:
Standard ED equipment - Specialty Backup Available:
None onsite; limited lab; 24/7 US and CT with reads; no blood products - Support Staff Available: NP/PA coverage varies by day
- Staffing Model:
- 24 hrs/day MD coverage (6a6p, 6p6a) - NP/PA
Schedule:
Mon 8a5p & 12p9p;
Tue Fri 8a8p;
Sat Sun 10a8p

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance:
Paid travel provided REQUIRED PROCEDURES - Standard emergency medicine procedures
- Ability to manage a higher-volume ED setting
- Capability to handle all patient types presenting to ED
- Licenses:
Active Texas license required - Board: ABEM preferred; AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM with strong ED experience accepted; ABPS not accepted
- DEA:
Active DEA required - Certifications:
EM BC requires proof of ATLS once; FM/IM trained requires ATLS, ACLS, PALS - Experience:
Strong emergency medicine experience required - Other
Qualifications:
Epic proficiency preferred
- Provide emergency medical care in a high-volume ED setting
- Manage approximately 60 patient encounters per day
- Coordinate transfers for all admissions to main Christus Mother Frances campus
- Perform required emergency medicine procedures
- Complete all onboarding, orientation, and Epic workflow processes
