Overview
2026 Social Media Intern — Mythic is seeking a Social Media Intern for the summer of 2026. This paid internship balances organizational needs with your interests and professional aspirations. The intern will manage and develop the online community for brands under the Mythic portfolio, act as the voice of the brand, draft post copy, schedule posts, monitor and respond in brand voice, and pull analytics to inform performance and best practices.
Identify social media trends and opportunities for the brand/community.
- Support the Social Team for multiple assigned accounts - offering fresh thinking and informed perspective for a creative, innovative approach to the work.
- Help with the scheduling and execution of social media campaigns and content calendars, either through the native platform or Sprinklr.
- Mine for user-generated content relevant to and appropriate for our brands and request permission for use. Brainstorm creative ways to utilize UGC.
- Draft concise, brand voice social media copy. Understand the nuances of writing for different social media platforms and adapt the language and tone to suit the platform and target audience.
- Generate cross-platform engagement between accounts; identify additional opportunities for our brands to join relevant social conversations.
- Build brand affinity and engage directly the communities of brands across key social channels.
- Partner with the wider social media teams (across account, strategy, creative and media) to ensure that creative content is suited for the channel it is being posted to, adheres to best practices and paid/promotional requirements, and has been through a QA process.
- Assist the Social Media Strategist with monthly reporting and analytics.
- Identify and help to execute on real-time trends that translate to social media opportunities on behalf of the agency and our clients.
- Identify popular hashtags, emerging discussions, and viral content to incorporate into the social media strategy, enhancing the brand's relevance and visibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Your writing is sharp and clear, whether it be for social media copy or longer-form POVs.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Organizational and time management skills. You have the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
- You’re genuinely passionate about social media. Where it’s been, where it is, and where it’s going. And you love using that passion to keep your teams smart on new trends.
- You’re a team player and a self-starter who always finds dynamic ways to solve problems.
- Must be a 2026 graduating senior in order to apply.
- Must be located in Charlotte, NC for the duration of the internship program in order to apply.
- $17/hr compensation
- Full-time, 40 hr/week
- 8 week program (June - July 2026)
- Must be within a commutable distance from our office in Charlotte, NC
- Hybrid remote with 2-3 days per week in office
- Computer equipment provided
