Music Minister

Worship Minister: FBC Lindale is a 150-year-old, Elder-led congregational Baptist church in the heart of Northeast Texas that highly values expository preaching and word-centered worship. As a church, we desire to foster a culture that values God’s word as the foundation for an authentic and accountable community. Part of accomplishing that goal is expressed through word-centered, multigenerational worship services. We gather three times on the Lord’s Day (8:15 a.m., 11 a.m., and 5 pm for prayer service).

During that time, we corporately gather to sing theologically rich songs, pray, and sit under the faithful preaching of the Scriptures. We are looking for someone to serve with us in taking over the music ministry and continuing to lead it with excellence and vision.

• Plan, lead, and support all FBC Lindale worship services.
• Develop the liturgy, along with the Lead Pastor, for weekly services and help develop a strong theology of worship through education and practice.
• Oversee and lead Worship Team rehearsals to include, but not limited to:
  
  Band, Vocalists, Choir Ministry, Teach Team (Sound, lighting, video, projection etc.)
• Partnership with respective ministry staff, facilitate the development of other worship teams as needed. (i.e., children’s ministries and student ministries, etc.)
• Plan, lead, and support special events such as:
  Worship Conferences, Holiday Celebrations etc..

• Choose theologically sound songs and hymns that are gospel-centered.
• Prepare Word-driven liturgies:
  Songs, Scripture Readings, Prayers, Confessions, and Creeds.
• Lead and encourage the growth of theological understanding among the Worship Team.
• Manage the Kids Core Ministry and seek to develop new material within 2 years.

• Oversee the spiritual needs of the congregation.
• Facilitate and encourage robust corporate worship.
• Shape the culture of the Worship Team in light of the vision and values of FBC Lindale as stated in our Church Covenant:
• Develop and mentor current and future worship leaders.
• Meet one-on-one with Worship Team members for fellowship and spiritual formation.

• Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate Worship Team members.
• Create a weekly Order of Service using Planning Center software.
• Schedule staff and volunteers.
• Participate in all scheduled staff meetings and staff development opportunities.
• Develop a recommended annual ministry action plan and budget for the Worship Arts Ministry.
