Overview
:
Manage and assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision. This is usually an entry-level supervisor position.

• Manage field crew in day-to-day production of projects.
• Exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety.
• Order tools and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints/plans and construct accordingly.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example.

• Five (5) years of experience managing dirt crews on highway projects.
• Lift, push, or pull and move up to seventy (70) pounds.
• Climb, kneel, twist, and bend in various environments.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.
• Demonstrated experience in utility work supervision including gravity sewer, sewer force main, storm drain and waterline (NNWW preferred).
• Responsibilities to include and are not limited to everyday operations for pipe installation from approved plans, planning and procuring materials, coordinating staff, working with owner representatives, and maintaining a safe workplace.
• Must communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Valid driver's license for occasional travel.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to physically maneuver minor obstacles at construction projects.
• Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind).

Pay Range
:
Commensurate with experience. This position is classified as non-exempt.

Schedule
:
Typically Monday through Saturday, working as many hours as necessary to perform the job.

Travel
:
Occasional local travel.
