Job Description

We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

General Laborer in Vega, Texas. The successful candidate will complete a variety of labor and operational tasks in the quarry and crushing plant, including shoveling from around conveyors and assisting with plant clean‑up and operations.

• Complete various manual labor tasks around the job site – including work with shovels and other hand tools.
• Operate heavy equipment such as a skid steer, backhoe, compacting roller, haul truck, or dozer as needed.
• Perform daily pre‑and post‑inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies, and service and maintain equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Apply effective communication skills applicable to the position.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and MSHA/Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Experience operating heavy equipment – bobcat, skid steer, and haul truck.
• Self‑motivated, able to perform required duties without constant supervision.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to understand basic safety and work instructions.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as necessary.
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screen.
